About us
CathSoc is the University of Bristol Catholic Society. Run by a yearly elected committee, CathSoc arranges regular events such as social gatherings, retreats, speaker events, and formals. Check out the events page for more details of what's going on.
CathSoc is the society for Catholic Christians, based at the Bristol University Catholic Chaplaincy (est. 1964). Through regularly meeting together for Mass, food, teaching and socials, we aim to provide an environment for intellectual and spiritual growth for the community of Catholic students and staff. Whether you're new to the faith, a cradle Catholic, or perhaps non-Catholic and just a bit curious, you can be sure to find a warm welcome.
As well as celebration of the Holy Mass with our Chaplain, the society organise discussions, debates, talks, (lots of) tea, community, theology, prayer, parties, pastoral support, pub trips, walks, weekends away, trips abroad, film nights, retreats, Christmas carols, charity work, worship, music, contemplation, good food and more! For many of our members, the Chaplaincy becomes like a second home and family, and we'd really like you to be a part of it! |
