About us
We’re the Catholic Society at UWE. Whether you are a cradle Catholic, convert, lapsed, curious or skeptical, you are welcome to come and see what goes on.
We are based at the Bristol University Catholic Chaplaincy (est. 1964) in Clifton, along with the University of Bristol CathSoc. The Chaplaincy is a place for you to explore your faith, to meet people with similar interests from a great range of backgrounds, and to get involved in activities and social outreach.
As well as celebration of the Holy Mass with our Chaplain, the society organises discussions, debates, talks, (lots of) tea, community, theology, prayer, parties, pastoral support, pub trips, walks, weekends away, trips abroad, film nights, retreats, Christmas carols, charity work, worship, music, contemplation, good food and more!
