MassThe Sacrifice of the Mass is the centre of all that we do and all that we are here. Mass is offered in our Chapel every Sunday in term-time at 6.00 pm, and throughout the week.
Talks & EventsThroughout the term, the Chaplaincy organises a series of thought-provoking talks revolving around a wide variety of topics on all things Catholic - be they theology, history or current affairs! These talks are open to all, and lend themselves to a question-and-answer session at the end of each of them.
Sunday evening mealEach week after Mass on Sunday we all gather and eat a home cooked dinner together, lovingly prepared by a few members of the Chaplaincy. It's a fantastic way to get to know others in the community - while enjoying a delicious meal at the same time, all for only £2!
THUrsday socialEvery Thursday after mass, we run a social event. These range from film nights to talks, scavenger hunts to game nights, and murder mysteries to chill evenings with no agenda. All are welcome to come along, and they are a fantastic way to get to know other like-minded Catholic students at the Chaplaincy.
LEctio divinaPrayerful reading of the Bible is an ancient form of prayer that God is using again in a powerful and moving way. Our Lectio Divina Group meets to read the Sunday Gospel in a spirit of prayer, listening, and community. Why not bring a Bible, come along and join us?
theology groupTheology group sessions take place in the Chaplaincy common room after Mass on Tuesdays and are led by our chaplain, Fr Thomas. We discuss various topics, such as Catholic teaching and spirituality, in a laid-back atmosphere to solidify our understanding of the faith. All are welcome to join.
Adoration & BenedictionWe build our life as a Chaplaincy on the source and summit of the Christian life - Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar. The Real Presence takes centre stage during the Consecration in the Mass, but that sacred moment is specially prolonged in Eucharistic Adoration, where we keep our Lord company.
ConfessionThe Sacrament of Confession (also known as the Sacrament of Reconciliation) is the sacrament through which Christ forgives our sins. Confessions are usually heard 30 minutes before Mass on Tuesdays and Sundays until 10 minutes before Mass, and by appointment. Click here to send an email and schedule an appointment.
